A nervous but gentle senior who walks beautifully on a loose leash and needs a patient, calm home.

Sable is a 9-year-old German Shepherd mix who transforms on walks. Shelter volunteers say she's a dream walker who stays close on a loose leash and matches your pace, though she's nervous at first and needs a slow introduction. She's anxious, she's still not comfortable with a lot of touch, and she'll need a patient owner to help her feel safe as she settles in. Sable would like to meet any resident dogs before adoption.

Meet Sable in person before you decide. The shelter staff know Sable best.
